Muirfield, The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers

With only three consecutive holes playing in the same direction. The links of Muirfield are arranged over two loops of nine. One being clockwise the other counter clockwise. Historically, Muirfield always returns a world class winner of the Claret Jug. This is highlighted by the role call of previous champion golfers which include: Mickelson, Els, Faldo, Watson, Trevino, Nicklaus, Player, Hagen and Vardon. The links have also hosted the Amateur Championship (10 times), three Ryder Cups, the Walker Cup and the Curtis Cup. The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers is the oldest organised golf club in the world. Located at Muirfield since 1891 but in existence since 1744. Muirfield is a MUST play links legend, which we highly recommend. A round of golf here will live long in any golfers memory as will the hospitality.
